Identifying, developing, nurturing and nourishing the talent is a critical success factor .Today ,organizations  engaging in talent review and succession planning typically identify a subset of leaders known as “High Potentials.” High Potential leaders (HIPOs) exhibit many skills and characteristics, typically linked to the capacity and inclination to see things in a broader context. Yet organizations are finding it very challenging to engage HIPO and carve out a roadmap for development.

With 25 years of HR Management experience, Robin Schooling, SPHR, has worked in a variety of industries including gaming, health care, manufacturing and banking.  In 2013, after serving as VP Human Resources with the Louisiana Lottery Corporation for almost 7 years, Robin left corporate HR to open up Silver Zebras, LLC, a consultancy focusing on unique HR strategies that power people, strengthen talent capabilities and harness the power of connections.

    This is a good discussion but I personally disagree with the term High Potential as it divides people in any organization. Do we need it? Also Should we address in some other way? Being in HR and talent sector for about 15 years, I have not seen much effect of the activities done by the organizations for HiPo
