Meet Heidi Wald Byerly

Heidi is an extensively accomplished senior leader with more than 25 years of domestic and international success and a demonstrated specialization in the management of Information Systems and Technology. Heidi Byerly serves a dual role as both the VP, Asia-Pacific Operations and Chief Information Officer for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). SHRM is the largest professional HR association in the world, currently serving over 260,000 members in over 140 countries.

As Chief Information Officer for SHRM, Heidi has successfully led significant enterprise implementations and was instrumental in bringing the organization “to the next level” from a technology perspective.

She is currently serving an expat assignment coordinating operations between SHRM’s three India offices and its US headquarters, with an emphasis on strategy, resource coordination, and the creation of an India-based annual HR conference.

Prior to coming to SHRM, she served in a leadership capacity at two other non-profit membership associations: the Healthcare Distribution Management Association and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.

Heidi holds a Masters degree in Information Management from Marymount University, a Bachelors in English Literature from Kenyon College, and an IOM certification in nonprofit management from the US Chamber of Commerce.

Meet Kirat Dhillon

Ms Kirat Dhillion is currently working as HR Business Partner with SHRM India. She has a decade’s experience in the domain of Human Resources. In this time period she has worked in various roles across industries. Her experience spans in multiple sub-domain in HR –HR Shared Services, Training & Development, , Employee Relations, Talent Engagement, Process Design / Excellence, HR Business Partner and in partnering with business to contribute to bottom line as HR function. Her focus has been in setting up processes for companies in their growth phase. The setting up of HR vertical or department is what excites her. At SHRM she has been closely involved with the business side to ensure HR provides input and direction against the business plan.

She is a part of a panel working with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on setting standards in HR around 3 broad sub topics – Asset Management ; HR management & Facility Management. The panel is working on Standards that the ISO is driving and will take up 2 standards that are most relevant to the HR community in India & drive them by 2014.
