Rethinking Employee Engagement – Beyond social and digital

Indiahrliveoct21

Research shows that only 13% of employees are engaged at work globally. Which is a nightmare for any organization that values talent as one of their top priorities.

But how are they going to fix it? Is it putting the needs of employees first or exploring avenues like social and digital to engage employees where they are. Or do we need to rethink Employee Engagement?

I know we had an insightful conversation last time on ‘Employee Engagement Trends and Drivers- across the Globe’. We know it is all about making your employees feel valued, well communicated and treated well.

Talking about communications, now companies are using social and digital media to build relationship with their employees. A research conducted by LinkedIn and Altimeter Group found that ‘Employees of top socially engaged companies are far more optimistic than those of other companies they interviewed: 52% versus 41%. Additionally, 20% of employees are more likely to feel inspired based on how companies use social media to engage with them’
