Q&A with Rimjhim!!

Ok, have seen this face on Social Media, but let’s get to know the person a little bit!

What makes you who you are as a person.
A life well lived with key global roles across multiple continents, rich cross functional experience and a wide array of interests and achievements which span marathons, poetry, public speaking, blogging to name a few.

Fill us in your title, company and what you do for a living.
Head, Social Media Tata Consultancy Services.

What’s your game plan with India HR LIVE, why you do what you do here! –
Evaluate and Evangelize social media as a HR tool. I feel HR is core to any social strategy that an organization adopts and it is under leveraged as a HR practitioners tool. Share best practices and thoughts with a talented community and generally have fun speaking and writing.

Enough of the serious stuff! Let’s move to something fun & personal about you!

What are your favorite movies and why!
Vicky Christina Barcelona for the brilliant portrayal of grey relationships.

What’ the one lame thing you are excited about!
Rains and graffiti on walls

Share something that you feel is awkward and interesting about you –
I can win a beer drinking contest on one night and run a marathon the next morning. I guess I have tremendous amount of energy.

Name the book you read recently and why do you think our readers should check it out.
Aurobindo’s teachings – I bought it from the Pondichery ashram for the nuanced take on life and the strong similarities in his beliefs with the modern day String theory

Name your favorite gadget that you can’t live without.
My iPad

What do you love & hate about HR.
The fact that HR can connect people. Hate that they are still mostly archaic at an organizational level when it comes to devise employee connect programs for the new age.

Finally, Why our readers should read what you write here.
I would say for a slightly outsiders take on HR. Coming from a marketing background, who has closely worked with HR and sustainability teams to create marketing, engagement and communication programs I can talk on HR dispassionately and cover the social enablement aspects which are key to a modern HR program.
